The Hepatitis B Program was founded to help increase Hepatitis B awareness here in the United States, and to provide screenings for targeted groups in Vietnam. The Hepatitis B Program at M.E.M.O. at UCLA specifically works towards the biggest fundraising event, Hepatitis B Awareness Night (HBAN), to annually educate and promote awareness about the prevalence of Hepatitis B, both in the Vietnamese and Asian community in the states and abroad. As of last year, at our 3rd Annual HBAN, we raised approximately $1,700 for the Hepatitis B Program, and we hope to continue to raise more funds to help screen and eventually vaccinate some of the underprivileged in Vietnam.
