During our Week 5 committee meeting, we began planning for our first ever Hydrocephalus Awareness Night.
The publicity committee, responsible for advertising the event, brainstormed ways to arouse interest and attract attention. One idea was to create a sentimental and inspiring video to motivate people to learn more about our event. The donations committee, in charge of gathering sponsorships for Hydrocephalus Awareness Night, searched up and compiled a list of potential donors. Lastly, the social media committee discussed ways to spread awareness about hydrocephalus and generate funds through platforms such as Facebook and Youtube. One idea involved making a video that would be similar to the ALS ice bucket challenge. People tagged in the video would be encouraged to either share the video to raise awareness on hydrocephalus or donate money.
If you want to be a part of the planning process, join us at our Committee Meetings every odd week in Kinsey Pavilion 1200B from 6-7 pm!
